Skulliance realms have several locations within them that can upgraded using core project points.
Realms require core project points to upgrade offense, defense, and transport locations. The more core projects points you have, the stronger your realm will be. Without being able to upgrade all your locations, your ability to attack, defend, and travel may be impeded.
If a staker does not have the necessary amount of core project points, they can upgrade using any points at 3 times the cost. This option allows for non-member stakers of partner projects to participate in Realms when they are lacking enough core project points.
Realm locations can be upgraded to a maximum of Level 10. Once Realms have reached this maximum, their strategy should be to try and maintain this maximum level and re-queue Level 10 upgrades to restore themselves from incoming damage to their defenses and damage to their offenses/transportation from failed raids.
Upgrades are not impeded by incoming/outgoing damage from raids. Once an upgrade completes, that level will override any interim damage sustained. The exception is if a Realm manages to reach a higher offense level than the current upgrade through successful raids. If that is the case, the Realm owner will not revert to the upgrade level but maintain the current level they have achieved.
Completed upgrades are automatically claimed when visiting the Realms webpage. Because completed Raids are also automatically claimed after completed upgrades, there is a chance that a freshly upgraded location could become damaged from a completed raid. This is why it is important to monitor the duration of your upgrades in relation to outgoing/incoming raids. You want to claim upgrades and begin new upgrades before an outgoing/incoming raid potentially damages your locations. Otherwise, you risk having to repeat the same or even a lower upgrade because of the timing. Failing to capitalize on upgrade windows impedes your direct path to reaching and maintaining the max level of 10 for your locations.
Crafting allows you to burn CARBON to form DIAMOND and shatter it into equal parts core project points. Since core project points are crucial to upgrading Realm locations, acquiring CARBON is an essential strategy to maintain your Realm. Realm owners earn a fair share of 1 million CARBON every month based on their raid performance. CARBON can also be obtained monthly from participating in Missions.
